OUR Kids.
OUR Commitment.
At Minds On Learning, we are making a commitment to foster kids through their entire educational careers. Not just homework help. Not just tutoring. But a comprehensive program of educational well being for the whole child. Their journey is our journey. Their success is our success.
To that end, we currently provide students with the following services….
Study Squad
Elementary & Middle School Students
Nationwide • Monday – Friday
Our Study Squad is a free, online, after school tutoring program where participating students can receive homework help, instruction and guidance in real-time. Members may request “immediate / same-day” assistance or may plan ahead and schedule an appointment with one of our tutors. Students will have access to instructional assistance across a wide range of subjects and age-related topics. Upon registration, we provide an online Meet and Greet opportunity for students and parents to meet us, share their academic goals, and develop a partnership that will foster success in school.
SMART Team: Students Helping Students / Instructional Mentoring
Our unique SMART Team program gives exceptional high school students and college undergrads the chance to provide academic mentorship to our students in middle and elementary school. Working within our Study Squad format, these accomplished scholars provide 1-on-1 instruction as peer tutors while acting as positive role models for success in school. We find the relationship that develops to be a win-win for both our younger members and those who provide this invaluable service.
Academic Coaching
Sometimes students need more help than can be reasonably provided in Study Squad. For these situations, Minds On Learning provides additional academic coaching in the form of 1-on-1, online tutoring and subject specific coaching for individual or small groups of students.
Students enrolled in Study Squad will have the opportunity to book tutoring sessions to follow up on work from Study Squad.
Additionally, coaching includes help with organizational, executive function, and basic study skills.
College Planning & Admission
• Essays & Applications
• Financial Aid Navigation / FAFSA
• SAT/ACT Prep
• College Search & Counseling • Academic Course of Study
Between Community Colleges, State Colleges, Private Schools, Trade School, Traditional College or Liberal Arts, the possibilities for post high school education are seemingly endless. Many students are not even aware of the opportunities available to them. Minds On Learning college search and counseling can work with students and their parents to help narrow the possibilities and determine which direction is best.
Elementary and Middle School is where students learn how to learn. It’s where they acquire the academic skills and form habits that will last through high school, college and beyond. Early guidance and possible intervention is key to a smooth and successful academic career. Working with students, parents and teachers, in a combined effort, keeps kids on the road to success.
